    Towards Zero Message
    15 Aug 19
Hi Everyone, It was great to see the Club embrace the Toward Zero message prior to and during the Zero Round on the 3rd and 4th of August. Thanks to all of you for spreading the message and to our senior Captains for wearing the zero jumpers, which hopefully resonated with a lot of people watching from the sidelines. Importantly though, the Towards Zero message shouldn’t be limited to one round of football. We all hope that the round was a catalyst to ensure that all of us think twice before we step into our vehicles. Hopefully it started a discussion between parents and kids, between players and between supporters and members of our club. The message is pretty simple, let’s plan and work together to eliminate serious injuries and lives lost on Victorian roads. So as some of us finish football for another year and others head towards the excitement of finals let’s all make sure that we take care on the roads – slow down, don’t use the phone, follow the speed limit, don’t drink and drive and pay attention to road conditions. Again, a very common sense and simple message but one that will hopefully will be heard by the wider West Preston Lakeside family so that we stay safe and continue to be part of this great club. Go Roosters! The Committee WPLFC
